We are so grateful to Val Prior from the Changing Lives Didcot charity who has very generously donated £1,250 to the parish council to enable us to replace the play train in the playground that was vandalised over the summer.

Val Prior from East Hendred is a dedicated volunteer who founded the charity shops Changing Lives in Wantage and Didcot in December 2012. The shops sell a wide range of household items, mostly donated by members of the public. From the proceeds of sales, the shop is able to donate money and items to a range of individuals and groups needing support in the local area.

If you don't know where the shop is in Wantage, it is set back from the road in Church Street, up a gravel drive between Arbery Arcade and the funeral directors. The shop is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. You can find out more about the charity from their Facebook page Changing Lives Charity Shop Didcot & Wantage. Their phone number 01235 762186.
